About
For the service user, entering nursing or residential care can be a very traumatic time and they need help, time and understanding to come to terms with communal living. We will provide skilled nursing care and are backed up by a very capable team of carers who will do anything they can to help a resident. We aim to provide a safe, secure place in which people can live and allow them to join in activities or remain in their rooms if they wish. All the rooms are of good size and are light and airy.
The New Victoria Care Home, established for a number of years, is a 30 bedded home (all single). We cater for nursing and residential service users. The home is on three floors and each floor has two bathrooms and the top and ground floors have a lounge and dining area. There is a lift that services all floors and all rooms can be accessed by wheelchair users. Each room has a nurse call system and every room has a colour television. There is a patio area to the rear of the building where summer events are held. We also have a gazebo to enable outside activities in less clement weather.

Thank you so much for caring for my brother ‘P’ in his final weeks of life. He wasn’t the casual of patients to care for as you all discovered. Being so let away was difficult, but you were all so helpful when telephoned it didn’t matter what time it was, I was updates in a most considerate manner. Being a nurse myself it was easy for me to recognize the caring & compassion. All the staff I had contact with, my brother received care from performed above & beyond. I & my family were so grateful and relieved to know that ‘P’ was in such good hands.

Location
The New Victoria Care Home is ideally placed close to the town centre and situated on Hornby Road, between Park Road and Whitegate Drive. We are approximately half a mile from Devonshire Square. The buses that serve the home are Line 2, Line 3 and Stagecoach 154 & 158. We are three miles from the end of the M55 Motorway on a direct rout.
